I watched Pride & Prejudice last night with Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen and it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
With Pride & Prejudice Jane Austin manged to write a truly powerful romance that just appeals to so many different people accross the world.
The movie left me thinking about love, life and how wonderful their gowns are, oh and Mr Darcy too.

The thought of finding your wedding dress can be an exciting yet stressful one but finding your gorgeous wedding dress can be a relaxing and enjoyable experience by taking a few simple steps.
Tip #1 - Before you make an appointment decide on who you would like to take wedding dress shopping with you. You may want to bring your mum and sister and this is a good number. I would advise to bring 1-3 people with you whose opinions you trust and you know will help you make the right choice. If you bring lots of people with you it can become very confusing as everyone will have different opinions and tastes. At the end of the day it is ‘Your Dress’ and you should choose one because #1 You love it #2 it makes you feel happy and confident #3 It suits you. Not because your friend prefers big tulle skirts and you love a sleek beaded number. Also by not taking too many people shopping with you it leaves your dress as a special surprise for your wedding day.
Once you know who you would like to help you choose your gown you can then arrange an appointment to try wedding dresses on a date that you know you will all be able to attend. By making an appointment at Jdezire you know you will have the entire boutique to yourself so you can really enjoy choosing your gown.
Tip #2 – Allowing enough time is very important to ensure your bridal experience is a relaxing and enjoyable one. It is best to start looking for your wedding dress a year to 8months before your wedding as some wedding dresses can take up to 6months for delivery. Just consider how upset you would be to find your perfect wedding dress only to find out that you cannot order it in time for your wedding, or if you do order your gown close to your wedding imagine how stressful it will be waiting for your gown to arrive just a month before your wedding.
It is not just delivery you need to account for either as many gowns will require some alterations to ensure a perfect fit and wedding dress alterations are time consuming so plenty of time needs to be included for these.
Tip #3 – Don’t try on too many wedding dresses even though I know some people may tell you to try as many as you can. The problem with trying on lots of wedding dresses is that it tends to leave you confused and can make it difficult to remember and separate the dresses you really liked from those that weren’t quite right. There are hundreds of beautiful dresses out there but you only have to find one. You may even fall in love with the first wedding dress you try on which is great and once you have found your dress you should stop looking as not to confuse yourself at a later date.

The New Season Dessy Collection will be arriving at the Jdezire Boutique soon.
Perfect as prom and evening wear as well as for bridesmaids the new collections feature fresh and girly 50s prom dresses, long slinky satin gowns and their exciting new floral prints.
Dessy have also brought out a new luxury fabric their Silk Shantung for which they have designed some classic and stylish gowns.
There are pictures of the new Dessy gowns on my website and hopefully these gowns will be arriving at the Jdezire Boutique within the next few weeks or shortly after Christmas ready for the 2009 wedding and proms.

I now have a small preview of eternity bride wedding dresses in stock. They are so beautiful I’m expecting lots of Brides to fall in Love with them.
The detailing is stunning with beaded lace and crystals on taffetas, satins and chiffons.
